A few months ago I signed up my son and I for American Supercamp riding school, where you get to improve your motorcycle skills on a short dirt track. My son and I have done this twice before and my son has been bugging me to do it again. Unfortunately, I damaged my knee a few weeks after signing up and had to list myself as a maybe for the event. By the time November rolled around my left knee was still not right, so I did not ride.

My son Sean was determined to go, so we packed up the truck and made the 2-hour trip from Loomis to Santa Rosa on a Thursday night. Weather on Friday, the first day of this two-day event, was a bit rainy, but not bad. Sean jumped right in and had a blast! This is his third time and the improvements were obvious. American Supercamp is great training for any skill level, and really helps to sharpen your riding skills and make you more confident in any situation. Danny’s team of instructors are the best in the business and make everybody feel like they are getting personalized attention and advice. Feeling good on the bike dramatically increases the fun factor, and that is the best part. My only regret as I watched my son ride for two days was that I could not ride along with him. Even so, we had a blast talking about the event and what he was learning.

My knee is feeling better these days and I am looking forward to riding Supercamp when it comes back to Santa Rosa in February. Hope to see you there too!
